One reason is that with the expanding pool of studies funded by various interest groups, it is easy to cherry-pick the evidence that supports any chosen policy direction.

Look on the bright side, remain hopeful, stay positive, and strive to be active. Most successful education systems today have designed intelligent policies of whole-system improvement — to pursuit academic excellence and equity of education simultaneously. The building blocks of a socially just educational system lie outside in wider society, but before any building can be done the right foundations must be laid.

The evidence is clear — so should be the road ahead. Social class is arguably the one area of educational inequality that has not been addressed in Britain. What we need now instead is to have schools where curiosity, engagement and talent can be truly discovered and nurtured.

It is important to remain positive and live each day open to taking the opportunities we have to grow. The argument for more market-based solutions to improve the quality of schooling ignores a growing pool of globally comparable data and academic research on good pedagogy, school improvement, and high-performing education systems.

The quality of an education system is more than high academic test scores. Furthermore, policymakers should also be aware of myths about what is behind the success of these education systems.

However, if we finish off our undergraduate wishing the days away and just living life to be able to mark a day off the calendar, it scares me to think of all the valuable and amazing opportunities we are missing out on.

In my own personal reflection, I have found that it is very easy to become unmotivated and negative about class work and responsibilities. You must be refreshed every once in a while so not to fully exhaust your body. In order to be successful, we must see these last undergraduate days as experiences to help prepare us for our future career versus wasted days full of stress and worry.
